It's more important than ever to be involved in your community! Start by attending the 5th annual State of the Township community address.
Please plan to attend Springfield Township's annual "State of the Township" community address on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. This will be an informative meeting designed for residents and business members of the community. There have been many changes affecting communities throughout the state of Ohio. Learn how those changes affect your local community.
The format will be similar to years past. Township Trustees and Administrator Michael Hinnenkamp will present a three-part look into Township issues. The presentation is followed by a social with Township officials and staff.
The informational presentation will cover the following:
* Issues that the Township has faced over the past five years - What decisions were made and what were the results of those decisions?
* Present concerns that face the Township now that the Estate Tax has been eliminated and the Local Government Fund reduced by half - Strategies that Trustees could implement to position the community for success will be discussed.
* Future projections - What are the projects on the Township's horizon and could a JEDD (Joint Economic Development District) be in the future?
The State of the Township on January 27th will begin at 2:30 p.m. in the Grove Banquet Hall located at 9158 Winton Road. (Doors open for registration at 2:00 p.m.) The presentation is expected to be 45 minutes. Pre-registered guests will receive an email reminder the day prior to the meeting and
will not need to register at the door.
Register here.
Stay for the social after the meeting to ask questions and talk with trustees and staff.
